Pía Greene assumes the role of Executive Director at Fundación Amparo y Justicia

  • 7 de January de 2026

he expert in the design and implementation of public policies on security will lead the Foundation into a new stage, focused on strengthening its work with the justice system and on protecting the rights of children and adolescents who are victims of serious crimes.

Pía Greene holds a PhD in Political Science, a Master’s degree in Political Action, Institutional Strengthening, and Citizen Participation in the Rule of Law, and is a journalist. She has more than 20 years of experience in the design, implementation, and evaluation of public policies, with a focus on public security, crime prevention, and organized crime, across the public sector, academia, and civil society.

Throughout her career, she has held senior leadership positions in the public sector, including Head of the Studies Division at the Ministry of the Interior and Public Security, and Director of Public Security for the Municipality of Vitacura. She has also developed an extensive academic and research career, serving as a professor and program coordinator at university level. Prior to assuming her current role, she worked as a coordinator and researcher at the Center for Public Security and Organized Crime Studies at Universidad San Sebastián.

In the context of this new challenge, Pía Greene stated that, “the homicides of children and adolescents continue to be an invisible reality. I am joining Fundación Amparo y Justicia with the commitment to strengthen the investigation of these crimes, contribute to improving the State’s response, and guarantee access to justice for families who have lost a son or daughter. .”

At Fundación Amparo y Justicia, we value her appointment, highlighting her solid background in public policy, her experience in team leadership, and her in-depth knowledge of how the State operates.
