The Sexual Offenses Brigade of the Investigative Police (PDI) in Talca organized the seminar “Updating Knowledge for the Investigation of Sexual Offenses,” an initiative aimed at strengthening investigative capacities and interinstitutional work in this area.
At this event, Fundación Amparo y Justicia delivered the presentation “Sexual Offenses Against Children and Adolescents and Challenges in the Implementation of the Videorecorded Investigative Interview,” addressing key elements to improve investigations and coordination among institutions.
The activity brought together officials from the brigade itself, the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Legal Medical Service, and Mejor Niñez programs, creating a space for reflection and technical updates on investigative practices and the protection of children and adolescents.
The presentation was delivered by researcher Carolina Pavez, from the Studies and Public Policy area, and psychologist Hans Eichhorns, from the Training area, who shared evidence, challenges, and recommendations to improve the coverage and implementation of the Videorecorded Investigative Interview Law.
