The study analyzes the results obtained by the participants of the first Video Recorded Investigative Interview courses with an online methodology, developed by the Ministry of the Interior and Carabineros de Chile with the support of Fundación Amparo y Justicia. For this, simulated interviews were conducted before and after the online course, in which the performance of the interviewers was analyzed. The results of this unprecedented study showed a significant improvement in the students’ performance after completing the training, both in the use of different types of questions and in adherence to the NICHD protocol. It is noteworthy that the findings are as positive as those obtained previously in in-person courses.
