With the aim of strengthening interinstitutional work and advancing a more effective response to serious crimes affecting children and adolescents, representatives of Fundaci\u00f3n Amparo y Justicia carried out a working visit to the Arica and Parinacota Region.<\/em><\/p>\n

During the visit, the team held meetings with key institutions within the criminal justice system, including OS9 and LABOCAR of Carabineros de Chile; the BRISEX and Homicide Brigade of the Investigative Police (PDI); and the Regional Prosecutor\u2019s Office of Arica and Parinacota.<\/p>\n

These meetings made it possible to deepen technical dialogue and strengthen coordination channels with a view to consolidating collaborative lines of work at the regional level.<\/p>\n

In this context, the Deputy Director of Legal Affairs and Public Policy Advocacy at Fundaci\u00f3n Amparo y Justicia, Mar\u00eda Jos\u00e9 Bowen, highlighted the importance of fieldwork and the strengthening of regional networks: \u201cDirect engagement with the institutions that investigate and prosecute serious crimes is key to improving the system\u2019s response. These instances allow us to move toward more effective protection for children and adolescents,\u201d she noted.<\/p>\n
