For the past 27 years, the Amparo y Justicia Foundation has worked to improve access to justice for families who have lost a son or daughter as a result of sexual assault followed by homicide. This commitment is reflected in a comprehensive intervention model that combines legal, psychosocial, and communications support. <\/em><\/p>\n

At the 2025 Family Gathering, we once again came together with those who inspire every one of our actions. It was a day to talk, remember, and share experiences in a therapeutic support space. <\/p>\n

The Foundation\u2019s president, Alejandro Espinoza, emphasized that: \u201cIt has been a very emotional day because it reaffirms our essence, which is the commitment we have taken on as a board and as the Fundaci\u00f3n Amparo y Justicia with each and every one of the mothers and fathers who have lost a child to sexual assault. We are committed to the well-being of each of them and to seeing justice through to the end, which means actively ensuring that the sentences for these atrocious crimes are fully carried out.\u201d<\/p>\n

For her part, the Head of Psychosocial Intervention, Sucy Mu\u00f1oz, noted that: \u201cThese gatherings with the families allow us, as a team, to reconnect with the purpose that drove the creation of the Fundaci\u00f3n Amparo y Justicia 27 years ago. It is an opportunity for families to share their experiences and connect with those memories, which are undoubtedly very painful, but which they can share with others who have lived through the same experience and understand firsthand what this pain means.\u201d <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
