In this report, the Foundation reports on the main milestones of the past year. Among them is the commemoration of its 25-year anniversary, always working to improve access to justice for families who have lost a son or daughter to sexual assault that resulted in homicide.
Fundación Amparo y Justicia launches its 2023 Annual Report, a document that summarizes the key milestones of its work during the last year.
Among the main events of 2023 was the celebration of its 25-year anniversary, an occasion that strengthened the organization’s commitment to improving access to justice for those families who have lost a son or daughter to sexual assault that ended in homicide.
The report also highlights important advances in the cases in which the Foundation provides legal and psychosocial counseling; the “2023 Families Meeting”; our key role in the enactment of Act 21,627, which generates greater requirements for obtaining parole; and the organization of the Interviewers Conference, contributing once again to Act 21,057 on Videotaped Interviewing.
“We will continue to work with a clear vision: to be a point of reference in the promotion and protection of the rights of child and teen victims of sex crimes, as well as their families,” said Loreto Moore, Executive Director of Amparo y Justicia.
