The purpose of this document is to outline some methodological considerations and recommendations for studying the operation of the disqualification registry for those convicted of sexual crimes against children and adolescents (CNA), with the aim of ensuring that the system for entry and consultation functions optimally. Through the analysis of national and international legislative documentation, media information, discussions with relevant stakeholders, and data provided by the Civil Registry and the Judiciary, the report presents the main background and findings regarding the operation of the legal regulations governing accessory penalties for those convicted of crimes against children and adolescents in Chile, as well as the Disqualification Registry for working with minors. Additionally, the document presents recommendations for improving this system, which are organized into four lines of action.
