A systematic review that provides an overview of international practices regarding the role of intermediaries in the judicial statements of children and adolescents within the justice system. The intermediary figure plays the role of facilitating the testimony of victims in vulnerable situations in order to improve access to justice for these victims/witnesses. This document presents the foundations for implementing this role, as well as the experiences and models of how this figure operates in South Africa, England, Northern Ireland, and New South Wales, Australia, countries with the authority to provide an intermediary in the judicial statements of children and adolescents in criminal proceedings.
