The mediation of testimony in oral trials for children and adolescents who are victims of crimes is a complex technique that requires training and accreditation. With the implementation of Law 21.057 in Chile, the institutions responsible for providing interviewers focused on designing specialized training programs, as well as an evaluation tool to determine whether candidates for mediators possessed the necessary competencies to be accredited. In order to determine whether this tool meets the minimum standards for evaluating and graduating candidates, this document presents a study on its reliability and content validity. The results confirm a high degree of reliability and validity, demonstrating the relevance of the evaluation processes. Some areas for improvement were also observed in some of the items it comprises.
