Study by Fundación Amparo y Justicia: Children and adolescents victims of sexual and other serious crimes – Reporting of complaints and responses from the criminal justice system

Fundación Amparo y Justicia, with the aim of contributing to the proper implementation of Law 21.057, which regulates video-recorded interviews and other protective measures for minors who are victims of sexual crimes, has been making available to the public and institutions within the criminal justice system a statistical report since 2019. This report aims to inform about cases where children and adolescents (CNA) are victims of sexual crimes and other serious offenses covered by the law.

In this report, the data used was requested through Transparency from the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the institution responsible for maintaining such records. Although it focuses on analyzing the phenomenon during 2022, it includes reports of complaints made to the authorities between 2006 and 2022.
