The article “Assessment of a Chilean Training Programme For Investigative Interviewers of Child and Adolescent Victims Using Mock Interviews,” authored by professionals from Fundación Amparo y Justicia, was published in June 2022 in the Investigative Interviewing: Research and Practice journal. It presents the results of the effectiveness evaluation of the first five versions of the initial training program for investigative interviewers from the Chilean Public Prosecutor’s Office under the framework of Law 21.057. The results showed a significant increase in the use of open-ended questions and a decrease in closed and suggestive interventions, which is considered an indicator of the effectiveness of this first training program in Chile. The findings are consistent with international training experiences, contributing unprecedented scientific evidence for Latin America regarding investigative interviews with children and adolescents.
