The voting process for the “Spirit of Law 21.057” award has successfully concluded, with a notable participation: 169 nominations for interviewers and 43 for instructors.
The aim of this award is to recognize the effort and dedication of professionals who, from various institutions, contribute to the compliance with the regulations.
The evaluation committees are made up of representatives from all the institutions involved in the justice system and academia, ensuring a diverse and balanced assessment.
Evaluator committee for the instructors category.
The committee that will evaluate the instructors is composed of experts with international and national renown:
- Nick Quine, retired sergeant of the Avon and Somerset Police (UK) and instructor of the investigative interview technique using video recording.
- Claudia Bruna, psychologist and head of the Recorded Video Interviews Unit at the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights.
- María Paz Rutte, psychologist and director of the School of Psychology at Universidad San Sebastián, with extensive experience in the implementation of Law 21.057.
- María Loreto Campos, accredited interviewer at Carabineros de Chile, winner of two awards at the 2023 Interviewers’ Congress.
- Marcela Contreras, interviewer and instructor at the Ministry of the Interior and Public Security, recognized for her “Professional Development” at the 2023 Congress.
- Carolina Muñoz, interviewer at the Police Investigations Department, awarded for her interinstitutional coordination at the 2023 Congress.

On the other hand, the committee responsible for evaluating the interviewers is divided according to the stages of implementation of Law 21.057:
- First stage: Felipe Pulgar, Liliana Gálvez, and Daniela Bolívar.
- Second stage: Nataly Fernández, Nelson González y Carolina Navarro.
- Third stage: Claudio Bravo, Silvana Vera y Edgardo Toro.
The first meeting of the evaluation committee has already taken place, and the results are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
As for the presentation of the awards, it will take place during the opening session of the 2nd Congress of Interviewers, an event that will be held on May 13, 14, and 15, 2025, at the Extension Center of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (Bernardo O’Higgins 390, Santiago).
