The class “Standards and Best Practices for Criminal Investigation of Child Homicides” provided a detailed approach to the phenomenology of child homicide, allowing participants to understand the profiles of victims and perpetrators, as well as the motivations and mechanisms involved. Common patterns in these crimes were analyzed, facilitating their application in investigations. Additionally, procedures for the collection and preservation of evidence at crime scenes were reviewed, based on international standards. The relevance of collaboration between police, forensics, prosecutors, and health professionals was highlighted, promoting multi-agency cooperation to resolve cases more effectively.
