This document provides a review of specialized literature in order to compile an updated body of knowledge for a better understanding of the trauma and grief experienced by families who have lost a child due to a rape and homicide. It also examines models implemented in other regions, in order to extract lessons from these experiences that can serve as a reference for specialized work and intervention with victims of such severe crimes, particularly when the victims are children and adolescents.
