This report presents the results of the number of video recorded investigative interviews (EIV) conducted with children and adolescents who are victims of sexual crimes and other serious offenses, two years after the implementation of Law 21.057 in regions of the first stage of implementation. Additionally, the times between the receipt of the complaint at the Public Ministry and the interview are described. The results showed that nearly 50% of the victims underwent an investigative interview, with a decrease in response times from an average of 130 to 69 days between the first and second year of the Law’s implementation. Finally, a longitudinal analysis of the number of EIVs and witness statements taken, as well as response times at the national level, is presented, covering the period from 2011 to 2021. This analysis reflected a decrease in coverage and an increase in response times during the 2019-2020 period, highlighting the need to recover at least the standards observed during the 2016-2019 period, prior to the implementation of the Law and the outbreak of the pandemic.
