The purpose of this document is to provide a statistical description of individuals convicted of sexual assaults against children and adolescents during the last decade (2011 to 2020). The study focuses on individuals whose sentences exceed five years, aiming to concentrate the analysis on those who, based on their convictions, have committed the most serious crimes, with higher recurrence and/or against more victims. The results presented are useful for the debate on the criteria required for individuals convicted of similar crimes when applying for and granting parole.
