The start of the implementation of Law 21.057 in Chile, which regulates recorded video interviews and other protective measures for minors who are victims of sexual crimes, prompted Fundación Amparo y Justicia to publish the second edition of this book. This edition not only includes an update of the findings published in 2016 but also provides a description of the changes established by the Law and how they will impact the work of professionals within the Criminal Justice System.
The text aims to provide answers and clarity regarding the Recorded Investigative Interview and other special measures designed to prevent secondary victimization of children and adolescents during the Judicial Testimony, with particular emphasis on the new figure of the intermediary.
This second edition will allow officials, professionals, and authorities from various fields to find answers about a procedure that began to be implemented in Chile in October 2019.
